Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 12 May 2025 · Effective Date: 12 May 2025
1. Definitions
The following terms carry these meanings throughout this document:
- "Agreement" means these Terms & Conditions together with any booking confirmation or written scope agreed between us.
- "Service" means any plumbing call-out, repair, drain clearing, or fixture fitting carried out by Beigang Pipes at a residential or commercial property.
- "Website" means the site operating at beigang.sbs and all pages under it.
- "We / Us / Our" refers to Beigang Pipes, registered at No. 88, Zhongshan Road, Beigang Township, Yunlin County 651, Taiwan.
- "You / User" means any person who accesses our Website or books a Service through us.
- "Content" means all text, images, pricing information, and other material published on the Website.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using our Website or submitting a booking enquiry, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- You accept these Terms & Conditions in full.
If you are submitting a booking on behalf of a business or property owner, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that these terms bind the organisation you represent.
3. Service Description
Beigang Pipes provides on-demand residential and commercial plumbing call-out services in Yunlin County and surrounding areas of Taiwan. Our three core services are:
- Tap & Joint Leak Repair — identifying and sealing leaks at taps, mixers, joints, and supply lines.
- Drain Clearing & Trap Check — clearing blocked sinks, showers, baths, and toilets, with trap inspection and general upkeep guidance.
- Fixture Fitting & Pipe Review — fitting taps, valves, hoses, and traps; installation of sanitary fixtures and water heaters on request; review of pipe condition and pressure.
Service availability is subject to technician availability and access to the property. We aim to respond to all enquiries within one working day (Monday–Friday, 08:00–18:00; Saturday, 08:00–14:00). We do not operate on Sundays or public holidays.
Services are provided at properties located within our operational area. If your property falls outside this area, we will let you know when we respond to your enquiry.
4. Booking and Service Scope
A booking is made when you submit an enquiry through our Website or by telephone and we confirm acceptance. Confirmation may be given by telephone, email, or text message. No binding commitment exists until we have confirmed the booking.
The scope of each visit is agreed before work begins. Our technician will explain what they plan to do, give a price estimate, and ask for your go-ahead before starting. If the scope needs to change once work is under way — for example, because a more serious problem is found — we will explain the situation and obtain your approval before continuing.
We may decline a booking or end a visit if access to the property is unsafe, the work requested falls outside our competence, or the site presents hazards we cannot reasonably manage.
5. User Responsibilities
When using our Website or booking a Service, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about yourself, the property, and the problem you need addressed.
- Ensure the property is accessible at the agreed time. If access is not possible, please let us know as early as you can.
- Keep the work area reasonably clear and safe for our technician.
- Not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent enquiries.
- Not attempt to reproduce, redistribute, or adapt any Content from our Website without written permission.
The following are not permitted when using our Website:
- Using automated tools to scrape or harvest data from our pages.
- Attempting to interfere with the security or integrity of our Website.
- Submitting content that is abusive, defamatory, or unlawful.
- Impersonating another person or business when making a booking.
6. Payment Terms
Prices on this Website are listed in New Taiwan Dollar (NT$) and represent the standard call-out rate for each service category. All prices include the technician's time, standard parts for the job described, and a follow-up check at the end of the visit.
If additional parts or labour are required beyond the standard scope, the additional cost will be explained and agreed with you before work continues. We will not charge for work you have not approved.
Payment is due at the end of each visit. We accept cash and common electronic payment methods. We will issue a receipt or written summary for every completed job.
If a visit is made but work cannot proceed through no fault of our own — for example, if the property is inaccessible or the agreed scope has changed significantly — a call-out attendance fee may be charged. We will tell you about this possibility when confirming your booking.
7. Cancellation and Changes
You may cancel or reschedule a booking at no charge provided you contact us at least 24 hours before the agreed visit time. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a small attendance fee to cover the technician's travel, which we will communicate at the time of booking.
We may reschedule a visit if an emergency call-out or unforeseen circumstances prevent attendance. We will contact you as early as possible to arrange an alternative time.
8. Intellectual Property
All Content on this Website — including text, layout, logos, images, and pricing information — is owned by or licensed to Beigang Pipes and is protected under applicable Taiwan intellectual property law.
You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access and read this Website for the purpose of making a booking enquiry. This licence does not permit you to copy, reproduce, redistribute, or commercially use any Content without our prior written consent.
Any feedback or information you provide to us (for example, through our contact form) may be used by us to improve our services without any obligation to you.
9. Disclaimers
We take care to keep information on this Website accurate and up to date, but we cannot confirm that every detail is complete or current at all times. Pricing and service availability are subject to change without advance notice.
The Website and all Content are provided on an "as available" basis. We do not make any promises about uninterrupted access or the absence of errors.
Information on this Website is general in nature. It does not constitute a formal assessment of any specific plumbing problem. A proper assessment can only be made by a qualified technician on site.
We are not responsible for loss or damage arising from your reliance on information on this Website in place of a proper on-site assessment.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Taiwan law, Beigang Pipes' total liability to you in connection with any one service visit is capped at the amount paid for that visit.
We are not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income, loss of use of facilities, or water damage unrelated to work we carried out.
- Loss or damage caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control (see force majeure below).
- Pre-existing defects in pipes, fixtures, or fittings that were not within the agreed scope of work.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Force majeure: We are not in breach of these terms if we are unable to perform due to events outside our reasonable control, including extreme weather, civil disruption, utility failures, or government-imposed restrictions. We will aim to rearrange the affected visit as soon as reasonably possible.
11. Indemnification
You agree to hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these terms, your provision of inaccurate information when booking, or your wilful interference with our technician's work. This does not affect your rights as a consumer under Taiwan law.
12. Termination
Either party may cancel a confirmed booking subject to the terms in Section 7. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service to anyone who provides false information, behaves in a way that is unsafe or abusive toward our staff, or repeatedly fails to provide access at agreed times.
Sections covering payment, intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution survive any termination of the Agreement.
13. Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any dispute arising in connection with our services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Yunlin County, Taiwan, as the first-instance court of record.
Before initiating any formal proceedings, we ask that you contact us directly at [email protected] with a written summary of the issue. We commit to responding within 10 working days and making a reasonable effort to reach an informal resolution. Most concerns are straightforward and can be addressed without any formal process.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: These terms, together with any written booking confirmation, represent the full agreement between us on the subject matter covered.
- Severability: If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts continue in full effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce a term in one instance does not waive our right to enforce it in future.
- Assignment: You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms to any third party without our written consent.
- Notices: Formal notices to us should be sent to [email protected] or by post to our registered address.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at beigang.sbs/terms-conditions.html with the "Last Updated" date shown at the top. Changes take effect on the date shown. Continuing to use our Website or booking a Service after a revision means you accept the updated terms.
For significant changes, we will aim to provide reasonable notice through a notice on the Website homepage.
